Join presenter Jared McGovern for this fun interactive presentation for all ages. As partners, the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium and the Genoa National Fish Hatchery have devised a way to effectively engage our students, and our community in a hopeful conservation message sprinkled with a hefty dose of realism by flexing our mussels! Join us act out the life cycle of a freshwater mussel and discover how our students and visitors are partaking in projects aimed at saving species from extinction, and how we are introducing students to the role Zoos and Aquariums play in a much larger conservation effort.
